queer-owned and inclusive photography in nashville, tennessee

Headshot of Hannah Gerst, owner of Dog Star Studios, taken outside in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nice to meet you!

Dog Star Studios was born out of the desire to deliver an authentic, affirming, and comfortable portrait experience for queer and trans folks in my community. It has now grown into a full-service photography studio specializing in creative portraits, weddings, and special events. Queer joy and expression is intrinsic in everything I create, and I love watching my subjects bloom and grow while allowing me to capture a moment in their journey.
